Check your Red Alert e-mail:

You have two options for accessing your Red Alert e-mail account. You can either access it online or configure a mail client on your computer.

To access it online, go to isuredalert.com/webmail and type in your assigned e-mail address and password. Once logged in, you can choose between three online e-mail clients (I prefer RoundCube). You have unlimited mail storage, so you don't have to delete any messages.

To set up mail forwarding or get help with client configuration, e-mail .

To configure a mail client (like Outlook, Apple Mail, Thunderbird, Entourage, etc.) yourself, enter the following information:
Mail Server Username: [username]"+isuredalert.com" (e.g. "webmaster+isuredalert.com")
Incoming Mail Server: "mail.isuredalert.com" (set up as IMAP)
Outgoing Mail Server: "mail.isuredalert.com" (server requires authentication) port 26

Post to the Red Alert blog:

The Red Alert blog is the homepage of ISURedAlert.com. By adding posts through Blogger.com, they appear on the front page of the Red Alert website. Before you can contribute to the blog, you will need a Google/Blogger account, and permission to author posts on the Red Alert blog, which requires an invitation from a blog admin.

To request a blog invitation or get help with Blogger, e-mail .

To add a post, go to Blogger posting page and login with your existing Google or Blogger username and password. (If you don't have an account, you can create one by clicking the "Create an account now" link on the page. You will create a personal username and password.)

Once logged in, you will be taken to the posting page for the Red Alert blog. Provide a title for your post, compose your post in the large box, and add descriptive labels including your name separated by commas (e.g. "Griffin, men's basketball, Bradley"). Providing these labels will allow readers to view all blogs by a particular author or about a particular sport.

Also, if your post is about a specific sport, you should include one of the appropriate avatar images before the text in the title. To add one of the following images, copy the text next to each image and paste it into the title field of your post.

Once finished composing your post, click the "Publish Post" button, and Blogger will automatically update the Red Alert website. You can also edit posts by clicking the "Edit Posts" link at the top of the page.

Upload photos to the Red Alert media page:

You can upload and organize photos and add or edit captions on the Red Alert media page. To access the admin page for Red Alert photos, click here. You will be prompted for a username (use "isuredal") and the associated password.

If you need the password, or help with photos, e-mail .

Before you upload any photos, navigate to the appropriate folder, or create a new folder. Use the "Upload Image File" field at the bottom of the page to upload one photo at a time. To add or edit a photo caption, find the photo on the Red Alert media page and click the "Admin" link at the bottom of the page. If you are not logged in yet, you will be asked for the username ("isuredal") and associated password. Use the "Edit Document" field to type a photo caption.

Upload videos to the Red Alert YouTube account:

If you add videos to the "ISURedAlert" user account on YouTube, they will also appear on the Red Alert media page. To upload videos, go to the YouTube upload page, and login with the username "isuredalert" and associated password. Follow the YouTube directions to upload your video.
